Join us for some heated competition......
The Eugene Glass School brings together artistic and scientific glassblowers, industry leaders in glass, color, tools and equipment, as well as art collectors for the HOTTEST flameworking event of the year. In previous years, over 50 national and international participants have gathered at this event to interact with their peers, pick up new tricks, and meet with industry leaders at our on-site trade show. Technical vendors will have access to the flame studio, allowing attendees the opportunity to test-drive new torches and try out the latest colors!
New categories
This year Eugene Glass School will host an all new and exclusive EGS Challenge Competiton! 2-4 contestants will compete at a time with a 20 minute time limit. Contestants will be asked to create an object or objects with only the materials placed in front of them in a bag. Contestants will not know what is in the bag until it is time to start. Winners will move forward and compete again and again until the final 1-on-1 competition.
Can you handle the challenge?
In addition to the EGS Challenge Competition, the former Sculpture/Goblet category will be split into two separate categories: Sculpture and Goblet. There will also be a whole new category added: Beads!
