JIM ADLHOCH
JIM ADLHOCH has been working with glass as a medium for the last ten years. In
2000 he mentored one-on-one with lampwork artist Kate Drew-Wilkinson at her studio
in Bisbee, Arizona to learn the art of using stained glass scrap and remnants in
lampwork bead making. In the last few years, Jim has augmented the technique, and
simplified it for use by both beginning, intermediate and advanced lampworkers. Jim
also has a background in fusing and slumping, having been taught by John Williams
of Pacific Art Glass in California. Jim lives in the Los Angeles area and has been teaching
lampwork at his studio for the last five years. His beginning and advanced classes
in lampwork from stained glass have been showcased at the annual Glasscraft and
Bead Expo in Las Vegas. He is also a member of the International Society of Glass
Beadmakers.
