JEFF BALLARD

JEFF BALLARD started working with glass at the University of Illinois in the fall of
1996. There he studied under glass artists Jose Chardiet, and Bill Carlson. After earning
his Bachelor of Fine Arts in glass, Jeff spent the last five years working in private
studios across the Southwest from Santa Fe, New Mexico to Austin, Texas. Jeff was
always striving to improve his skills as a glassblower and has taken classes at Pilchuck
Glass School, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and the Pittsburgh Glass Center,
with renowned artists such as Chris Taylor, Davide Salvadore, and Dante Marioni. After
spending the last four years as “Production Manager” and “Head Designer” for a
successful art glass studio in Wimberley, Texas, Jeff re-located to Oregon in order to
focus on his own work and share his passionate knowledge of glass with others.
